About MSCHE
The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) is a global institutional accreditor recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education since 1952. As an accreditor and member of the regulatory triad, MSCHE ensures rigor and educational quality for its over 500 institutions of higher education. MSCHE is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USED) to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidacy status) activities for institutions of higher education, including distance education and correspondence education programs offered at those institutions, throughout the United States. MSCHE is a Title IV gatekeeper and is a link to federal programs; institutions of higher education access Title IV through MSCHE accreditation.
Salus University was first granted accreditation by MSCHE in 1954. Its last reaccreditation was reaffirmed on March 10, 2022, with a subsequent USED-required verification visit conducted on June 15, 2023. At that time, the next evaluation visit was scheduled for 2028-2029.
